Mail-In Application
Congratulations on choosing to apply to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office (JSO). This electronic application can be used to apply for four of the six career paths available through JSO: police officer; corrections officer; judicial officer; and community service officer. Those interested in applying for a civilian or police emergency communications officer position, please apply via the contact section of this site.
- Each applicant is expected to fully complete the application on a personal computer; JSO will not accept handwritten applications.
- To utilize the electronic application, please open and read the directions to each step carefully. It is very important to print the pages as you finish the steps, you can not save the application to your PC.
- Potential candidates interested in becoming a police officer, corrections officer, judicial officer or community service officer should complete and print each step of the application and either mail or hand deliver the application, with appropriate test scores and supporting documentation, to the Northeast Florida Criminal Justice Training and Education Center, 4715 Capper Road, Jacksonville, Florida 32218. JSO is not responsible for lost applications, and it is strongly recommended that if mailing the application, candidates send it registered mail, and keep a copy for your records.
